Welcome to my NASCAR collections page! I have been a NASCAR fan since around 1997 or 1998. However, I took a break after the 2001 season. I lost interest when Dale Earnhardt Sr. lost his life at the Daytona 500. I still liked going to the dirt tracks, but NASCAR just felt a little empty without Earnhardt in the mix. To be quite honest, I wasn’t a die-hard Earnhardt fan, but I did like to watch him race. It wasn’t until the summer of 2003 that I became a die-hard fan. I was stuck in Mississippi for three months. Every Sunday, I would walk over to the Base Exchange and get lunch (Popeye’s, Taco Bell, or pizza usually) and then head back to my room for the race. I would watch each race while playing games on my laptop or chatting with my wife, who was back in Japan. For some reason, I liked the look of the 48 car on the track. I had no idea who the drivers were, but I decided I’d root for the car with Lowe’s plastered all over it. I bought my first Jimmie Johnson die cast that summer, a 2002 Authentics California raced win rookie car. The rest, well, it’s history! My collection now consists of nearly 40 1:24 scale Jimmie Johnson Elite series die cast, several other die cast of various scales, and nearly 80 race-used memorabilia or autographed cards of the three time NASCAR champion. I’m sure it will keep on growing too! I’ve set up this page to show off my Jimmie Johnson collection and other items I have had over the years. Enjoy!
