This story starts with the idea of going to Great Smoky Mountains National Park to hike the Abrams Falls trail.  As we walked along, I stopped and took pictures along the way.  At one point, there was a pretty good amount of rocks in the stream, so I decided to step out and take some pictures.  On my way back to shore, my shoe slipped off one of the rocks and I went in, with my phone!  I freaked out for a minute, but was hopeful that I could salvage my Motorola Droid.  After attempting to dry it on the dash for several hours, I called Verizon and was given the location of my closest store, North Knoxville.  I went in, explained what happened, the CSR agreed it was an emergency replacement, we called Asurion, I paid my $89 deductible, and I walked out of the store with a brand new Droid.  Needless to say, my nerves were calmed by the staff and the gentleman on the phone for Asurion.  I’m just SO thankful I had insurance and that Verizon was willing to act quickly for me.
